Patriots Landing
While developing the goals for our chapter back in 2018, we decided that part of our mission was to give back to the community. In keeping with these goals, CSI Ohio Valley designated Patriots Landing as our charity organization. At our November 2018 Educon event, CSI Ohio Valley presented Joe Montgomery, founder of Patriots Landing, a check for $2,500.00. As Joe explained what Patriots Landing does, one of our exhibitors, Glenny Glass, offered to provide the glass for the burial flag cases that Patriots Landing makes! This type of networking is one of the many things that makes CSI great! Patriots Landing provides all the burial flag cases for Arlington National Cemetery.
Patriots Landing is a rural, faith-based veterans workshop in Grant County, KY located on 2.5 acres next to the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North. It houses multiple programs, all centered around healing, while enhancing the lives of veterans and their families.
Patriots Landing's mission is to honor all those who have served through programs that focus on helping veterans heal. It provides on-the-job skills training for veterans who need it the most – each according to his or her specific skills. We center on sharing the veteran’s stories and the healing power of faith to help inspire others in need. The sale of our veteran-crafted products is what keeps our doors open and our lights on for our veterans.

Patriots Landing Workshop
Patriots Landing workshop is now complete! We thank all of our chapter members who have helped make donated materials available for this project and especially thank the late Mike Kohus, our former chapter treasurer, for donating his time to design and provide construction documents for the facility. We look forward to helping Patriots Landing with future phases of their facility.
Products
Patriots Landing has expanded their Products program with a custom furniture shop that will continue to help our veteran population find meaning and purpose through developing job ready skills, and a fellowship that will help them heal. They will be creating custom wood-working products in their shop such as conference tables, custom desks and work stations, reception desks, and many other custom woodwork items.
If you are designing any custom woodworking items into your architectural projects, we ask the you consider allowing Patriots Landing the chance to bid on these items.
